Meet our founder: Jóhann M. Ólafsson
His career has been built at the intersection of Iceland’s seafood industry and institutional capital, combining sector-level operating knowledge with decades of transaction and asset management experience. Over time, this has shaped a track record defined less by theory and more by execution in a regulated, asset-intensive environment where outcomes are driven by licenses, biology, logistics, and rigorous capital allocation.
Jóhann served as CEO and a principal shareholder of Icelandic Securities, one of Iceland’s largest privately held asset management platforms, managing approximately €1 billion in assets. Across his leadership career, Jóhann and his team have completed more than €305 million in disclosed transactions spanning M&A, consolidations, and exits across seafood, aquaculture, and related marine infrastructure.
